If you have installers building racking, shelving, mezzanine floors or any other storage system it is important to check that they are suitably qualified.
At Storage Design Limited we currently have three SEIRS qualified installers all trained to an 'advanced' standard.
SEIRS = Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme.
More info: http://www.seirs.org.uk/
Also for working at height anyone using a Scissor lift must be suitably trained and certified, again Storage Design Limited have three IPAF certified installers for operating scissor lift or boom lifts.
IPAF = International Powered Access Federation
More info: http://www.ipaf.org/
In this picture Peter Bird is working at height as trained by SEIRS, wearing a harness with double lanyard, the lanyard hook can be seen attached over the brace node point of the Link 51 pallet racking, also other PPE includes - Gloves - Hard Hat - Ear Defenders - Boiler Suit, High Visibility Vest, Knee Pads and Safety Boots with non slip sole.
Normally for building pallet racking we use a scissor lift - but in this application we are extending the pallet racking higher and adding an additional beam level - due to the narrow aisle application this requires the installers to work off and within the pallet racking structure.
